Kapar Energy Ventures Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (60%) and Malakoff Corporation Berhad (40%), is the second largest thermal power plant in Malaysia, with a capacity of 2200 MegaWatt. Located 56km west of Kuala Lumpur in the Klang Valley, near the coastal road between Port Klang and Kuala Selangor, it faces the Straits of Malacca.
