Kapar Energy Ventures, Malaysia’s 2nd largest power plant (2,420 MW), is located near Port Klang. Opened in 1987, it’s the only plant with triple fuel capability (gas, oil, coal). It became an IPP in 2004, owned by TNB and Malakoff.
